Secret Recipe Ingredients:
1‐ 100% Cocoa Powder
2‐ 1 Tablespoon of Cold Pressed Virgin 100% Coconut Oil
3‐ 1 Hand Blender
4‐ 1 Measuring Cup
To brew our unique recipe:
1‐ Put your yerba mate into a tea bag
with a teaspoon of cocoa powder.
2‐ Pour hot water(but not boiling)
over the tea bag and let it steep for
a 3‐4 minute in a measuring cup (I
use a 2 cup Pyrex Measuring Cup)
3‐ Remove the tea bag from you’re the
4‐ Use the hand blender to blend 1
tablespoon of coconut oil into your
yerba mate until it blends.
5. Pour into your mug and enjoy!
Brewing Traditional Yerba Mate:
1- Obtain a traditional gourd and a good bombilla (pronounced bomebee-
ja). A coffee cup will work fine until you fall in love with Yerba and
order your first gourd!
2- Pack the dry and loose yerba mate into the gourd until it’s just under half
3‐ Place your hand over the gourd (or mug) and shake it upside a few times
to “fluff” up the yerba mate to ensure you don’t have anything heavy
sitting at the bottom of the drinking vessel.
4‐ Insert the bombilla into the gourd, make sure it goes to the bottom.
5‐ Pour cool water into the gourd, not a lot, just enough to wet the yerba
mate. This process helps preserve the healing nutrients in the Yerba.
6‐ Next, steep in hot water (not boiling, around 150) for 3‐4 minutes. How
long you steep the tea for is a personal preference. Like with all teas, you
should experiment with your own steeping time to find what works best
for your taste buds).
